This skill allows the character to know the best behaviour to have in many circumstances, especially with nobles and people of high rank. The character will therefore know what title to use when addressing a duke, the preparations to welcome a visiting diplomat, or what to avoid in the presence of dwarves, etc.. A roll is usually only required under unusual circumstances.
