CR Adjustments

The following situations impose an adjustment to the casting roll (CR). A positive adjustment makes the roll more difficult, representing a penalty to the caster.

Spell Level

• -10: spell level 1
• +0: spell level 2
• +10: spell level 3
• +20: spell level 4

Other Adjustments

• +10: arcanes — wizard cannot speak
• +10: arcanes — wizard cannot perform gestures
• +10: spirit — caster does not have a mystic symbol
