Number of Attacks/Actions (# Attacks/Actions)

Number of Attacks is the number of times a character can attempt a physical attack during a single round of combat.

At Level 1, a character can perform 1 attack plus 1 additional action, where an action is any activity that does not directly conflict with the attack (e.g., pointing with a free hand, shouting a warning). The additional action is always granted, regardless of Number of Attacks.

The Number of Attacks increases as a character gains levels or acquires relevant talents. Normal progression by level is as follows:

• Levels 1–5: 1 attack
• Levels 6–11: 2 attacks
• Levels 12–19: 3 attacks
• Levels 20+: 4 attacks

Each character always retains the +1 additional action alongside their Number of Attacks.
