Petrified

Petrification is feared by all. It is an incredible effect where the victim is completely transformed into stone. While in this state, the victim does not age, and is completely preserved for a significant amount of time (often hundreds of years, although natural deterioration can happen and kill the victim). A petrified victim cannot easily be brought back to life. Spells and antidotes which cure partial petrification do not apply in this case. In some case, the spirit of the victim will not leave, even if the physical body dies.

Strong physical blows can shatter the petrified victim, in which case he explodes and dies.
