Round

Round is a finite period of time during which characters and creatures perform actions in a structured sequence. Rounds are used whenever it is important to determine the order of actions, most commonly at the start of combat, but they can also be applied in other scenarios as required by the GM.

At the start of a round, each participant makes an initiative roll using a d20. The result is added to the character’s Speed (Spd) value, which corresponds to the specific weapon, spell, or action being performed.

Many smaller actions are implied during a round and do not need to be explicitly declared, such as parrying or preparing an attack. The initiative and Spd determine when a character’s opportunities to act arise.

Players must announce their character’s intended actions before the round begins and the initiative roll is made. Once the round starts, actions cannot be modified.
