Saranon was a realm located between Karan and Doras. It was composed of several islands, and home to the city of Karenia and the towers of Lyrdia. Lyrdia was inhabited by the wizards who discovered the Runes. During the Inferno, the main island of Saranon was torn from the ground and sent in the skies, never to fall.
The abyss left behind is known as Zalir.
